A guy was handing out 'kanYe for Pres' stickers during the Talib show at Bumbershoot this weekend. Cool fundraising, huh? My sticker got thumbs-up and cheers from Seattle-ites all weekend long.

They are showing that clip on British news at the moment and they said they edited that bit from some of the programme shown on the east/west?? side of America.

Yup. The show aired live on the East Coast, and they cut it from the tape before airing it out here in the West. Then the airing station released a statement apologizing for his outburst, saying they didn't condone his opinions/actions, and basically taking to task the person responsible for censoring (whoops - I mean, bleeping curse words) for not noticing that he had gone off script.

Nice to know that Free Speech is still a valued part of the American way, isn't it? [/dripping sarcasm]

Not that a billion people haven't said the exact same thing in the past 5 years. And every day, something new and horrible comes out. Like Condoleeza Rice shoe shopping in Manhattan boutiques while people were dying. Or Barbara Bush saying the victims are now better off and chuckling. It's all disgusting. And scary. And infuriating. And I'm done. Sorry for the rant. :)
